If you're visiting NetScrap.com, then you agree to the following terms of use. That's right. This means that you automatically agree to these terms when your computer connects to this site! That's pretty cool. This agreement is effective until terminated by we or you. You may terminate this agreement at any time by discontinuing your use of netscrap.com site and destroying all materials obtained from it. But why would you want to do that?

NetScrap(TM) is...
Netscrap.com is made up of various articles. Let's refer to these articles as Scrap. (Some of them are Crap, but we digress). Some Scrap are the copyrighted property of NetScrap. Most however, are not. NetScrap's purpose is to tap the META-web (or collective familiarity people have with each other) to find out who owns the Scrap floating around the internet. We try whenever possible to credit the original writers and owners of this material.

You are...
If you visit the site, you are a User. Users may view and download material from this site only for personal, non-commercial home use. We know you are probably reading this from your office computer though. That's ok. It's also ok if you are a reporter doing a little research for a story about us. The reason why we make the Scrap available to you is to get your help in determining the original source of the Scrap.

Netscrap.com allows you to mail Scrap to a friend to further our research. We will not tolerate the misuse of this mail feature. Every User who uses this feature is logged. Please don't ruin it for everyone by abusing this service. Users agree not to use the netscrap.com for trade, sale, or other commercial purposes. Users may not use language that is threatening, abusive, vulgar, discourteous or criminal. Users also may not post or transmit information or materials that would violate rights of any third party or which contains a virus or other harmful component. Netscrap reserves the right to remove or edit messages or material submitted by users.

Sometimes a little rude, a little crude. We know this. Please do not use the material here as a basis for your personality, or news source. You may turn to Netscrap.com as a role-model on the internet. Maybe someday we can be the Charles Barkley of websites. But at this point we would like to point out a few things about the Scrap contained herein. If you find anything on netscrap.com to be offensive or pailful, please turn off your computer. Please try to surf to a different part of this site. Please try to have an enjoyable experience here. If that doesn't work, please turn off your computer. If you're still a little pissed off, please turn on your computer and contact us here at netscrap.com. We would rather have a dialog with you than a lawsuit. We have plenty of Lawyer jokes already. Don't need any with Netscrap in the punchline! Contact us and we'll work it out.

We are not responsible for material submitted to netscrap.com by Users. We expect to get a lot of stuff. A lot of junk. A lot of Crap. That's what Scrap is. It's the stuff that's floating around there on the net... let's get it all in one place so we can figure it out. We know it sounds a little like putting a 747 together after a crash. We are prepared.

By communicating with Netscrap, however, users grant Netscrap permission to use any information, suggestions, ideas, drawings or concepts communicated for any purpose Netscrap chooses, commercial, public or otherwise without compensation whatsoever, though we may choose to credit people. We want your feedback. We want your input. We want to know who writes the Scrap.

Netscrap.com saves all email addresses that are entered into Netscrap.com forms. We have to do this because the guy in charge wants it that way. We will not sell your email addresses to any bidder. Even if it's a million dollars. We promise. The guy in charge here really hates SPAM. He does not want to see netscrap.com contribute to this by selling email addresses or allowing it's mail feature to be abused.

Netscrap.com collects personally identifying information only during (a) contest or sweepstakes registration and (b) subscription registration. In addition, information is collected in certain portions of the Site in which users specifically and knowingly provide such information along with Scrap submissions, community postings (i.e., chat or bulletin boards), FeedBack, or voting. Netscrap may use such information for its internal purposes, including but not limited to editorial and feedback purposes. In the event Netscrap plans to publicly post any such information on a site, users may be provided prior notification of such posting.

Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes while at the site. They also make a tasty snack any time of the year. Cookies make Web-surfing easier by, among other things, saving your personal info, purchases, and preferences for you. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and you'll find cookies at most major Web sites. Since NetScrap.com isn't that major, we know this. But we thought we should let you know that netscrap.com will write a small ammount of cookie information for you. You can disable this if you want, but we thought we'd save you some time by using cookies. That's all we'll say right now.

Here are some other examples of how Netscrap uses cookies: A cookie lets the netscrap.com remember that you've registered, which allows us to speed up your future activities at our sites. Similarly, if there are any stores within netscrap.com, a temporary cookie tracks which products you've selected while shopping. The cookie expires once you're done shopping.
